WSMTA Clarification

Carol Hibbard clarified the situation mentioned last month with the Musicianship Exams.  She shared

that the volunteer Exam Chair had been unable to continue, so many pieces had been dropped.  She emphasized

that WSMTA is fully supportive of the exams, and that once a new chair is in place, these issues should be

resolved.  Carol also read an excerpt from a letter from Debra Florian, WSMTA Education Chair, responding to

communication from some EMTA teachers regarding the temporary removal of an adjudicator from the state

list.  This was done to help clear any misunderstandings or miscommunication between WSMTA and EMTA

teachers.  Carol expressed appreciation for

WSMTA as a volunteer organization which supports music teaching throughout our state.
